Malayer is a city that it\u2019s archaism returns to Qajar era and is located in Arak way, in the center of a village area. In all areas around the city that different types of handmade and agriculture products are offered in their market, lots of villages are located that their inhabitants are occupied with rug weaving that these rugs<\/a><\/strong> were known in a group in the name of Malayer in phrase of market but they can be classified in two different groups. Most of the villages are located in the west and north of Malayer, have close connection with texture methods of Kurdish rugs. So rugs with symmetric knot and by using only one weft are woven in this area that most of the times are woven by using classic designs with Herati fishes pattern in red on a blue background. The villages of Mishen<\/a>, HoseinAbad, Jokar and Alamdar can be named as very famous centers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The villages located in the south east of Malayer<\/a>, are effected by designs and texture methods of areas located in the center of Iran; two wefts cross through knots and the knot kind is asymmetric. Flowering design with central bergamot are really similar to \u201cSarouq\u201d rugs design and also the common design in a part of Farahan<\/a> that their most fame are Jowzan, Manizan and Taeme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Urban products of Malayer are low and limited but there are rugs woven yet similar to adjoining villages: big simple bergamots on a very delicate background that are decorated with Herati patterns or paisley. Traditional colors used are red, blue and cream rugs sizes are greatly variable, even side rugs are produced in large amount. Most of the Malayers weavers came from around villages to the city so they pay rug<\/a> weaving in their own villages common methods.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
