Kashmar Rugs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

In tenth century, Kashmar was known as a populated city that was surrounded by high towers and there was a big mosque in there, but in fourteenth century an invasion occurred by moguls and could not take its past importance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1926 RezaShah<\/a> changed this city name to \u201cKashmar\u201d. Today Kashmaar is a quite county that is located in a flourishing valley and a lot of small workshops are active in weaving at the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kashmar rugs, are compressed and woven by dual asymmetric knot. Designs are mostly simple and irregular. Used colors, mostly are chemical and through the other colors, orange color has the most use. Quality of the used wool causes less resistance of these rugs against abrasion. Near to Kashmar<\/a>, Mahavallat is located that exquisite rugs samples with high compression and delicacy are woven in this area. Used designs in these rugs, is bergamot design with two or four appendix like arrowhead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It seems that first weaving workshop in Kashmar, was established by a master from Kerman<\/a> named Mohammad Kermani between years 1260 to 1280 solar year. The important villages in rug<\/a> weaving are Kajkhaneh, Fadafan and Torabqan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
