When purchasing any kind of rug online, the number one thing you’re probably thinking about is whether you’ll like it once it arrives. Considering the size and weight of a standard living room rug, some consumers are hesitant to make the initial purchase for fear of incurring excessive return shipping costs. However, our return policy has your best interests in mind, which is why today we’re going to go over the details of our 30-day free returns policy.

You may be hesitant to purchase a rug online. After all, it’s important to make certain that it’s going to work out for you. Our 30-day free returns policy is meant to give you time to open the packaging, inspect your purchase, and see firsthand its quality. Free Return means we will pay for the return and will provide you with a prepaid FedEx return label, you just need to print it out and put it on the package and drop it at any FedEx location near you. 

This also gives you ample time to decide if the pattern, color, and design will match the current or intended decor of your room. Finally, with our 30-day free returns policy, you’ll have ample time to get a feel for the rug — physically — and to decide if it is what you’re looking for.

How to initiate a return

Initiating a return within our 30-day free returns policy is easy. Just send us an email to get started — it’s that simple!

The information you’ll need to start a return.

When you email us, let us know both the order number and the SKU of the item you ordered. We will also need the size of the package you’ll be shipping the rug in, though for our 30 day free shipping policy, the package should not exceed 45x15x15 (LxWxH).

You can find most of these details on your receipt or email you received from us. We’ll then send you a return label via email.

Packaging the rug

Each Rug Source rug has been cared for and handled carefully. When we ship it to our customers, we ask that you do the same. First, fold, roll, and package the rug similar to how we shipped it to you. Use the same type of plastic (or other similar material) strong enough to protect the rug during transit. Then, apply the return shipping label to the outside of the package.

The last step is to drop off your rug at a nearby FedEx drop point. We recommend choosing a location that can provide you with a tracking receipt so that you can track the location of your return.

Processing you return

However, we also wanted to clarify that receipt of your return does not mean we will refund your money that same day. Instead, it takes between 5 to 7 business days for us to fully process your return. Our shipping team will systematically work through your return, ensuring that the rug we sent is what we received. Once we’ve verified the return, that’s when we’ll refund your money.

Your first 3 returns are free

Finally, to ensure that each customer is treated fairly and that our costs can remain reasonable, we offer our 30-day free returns policy on your first three rugs.
